Virtual products are not enabled on all marketplaces. If you do not see this option on your marketplace, it is because parameters have been set with the partner that requires only physical products are to be sold through your marketplace.
If you have an online product which does not require shipping anything to the customer, you have a what we call a Virtual (digital) product. This can be enabled on each individual product page when setting up that product.
By toggling the “virtual” checkbox on your product page, it will remove shipping options for the customer.
Types of products we see most often for virtual:
- Event registrations
- Online courses & webinars
- Online donations (also utilizing the add-on “customer defined price”)
- In-store coupons (also utilizing the downloadable product feature)
- E-Gift cards that you’ll send from your own system
