What is a Lead-Only Product?
A lead-only (or inquiry-only) product is where you remove the e-commerce functionality of the product so the customer cannot checkout with that item.
Example: This bakery can make several different designs of birthday cakes, depending on the theme of the birthday party. Rather than pricing out an individual birthday cake that is set in 3 flavors and two sizes, the bakery is able to receive an inquiry from the customer about their particular needs. This way the customer can browse through all of the bakery’s creative cakes from the past, and request one of those in their own size and flavors, or see that they have the capability to create a cake of their dreams that hasn’t yet been done.

These products will remove the “Add to Cart” button and only show the show the “Send an Inquiry” button, allowing a customer to contact you about a specific product.

It is super easy to add a Lead Generation product.
Complete all of the same steps you would with as a Simple Product, but just DO NOT ADD A PRICE in the price section. This will automatically convert it to a Lead Generation product.

You also do not need to worry about taxes, inventory, virtual/downloadable, etc. as there’s no transaction that will take place for this product type.
